Storming success for Ashfords LLPs' Gromit Unleashed 2 campaign

18.12.18

In support of this year's Gromit Unleashed 2 (GU2) trail in Bristol, leading law firm Ashfords LLP undertook a host of activities to help raise profile and money for The Grand Appeal.

As well as sponsoring one of the Feathers McGraw sculptures on the trail, the firm hosted a family-friendly afternoon for their clients and contacts and commissioned an eye-catching billboard at Bristol Temple Meads train station for 8 weeks in the summer, encouraging the public to share images of the sculpture on social media. For every image shared, Ashfords committed to donate 50p to The Grand Appeal.

The firm is delighted to have contributed over £500 to the charity off the back of the event and billboard, which will be added to the impressive £1.3million raised at the auction of the spectacular sculptures, marking the end of the trail.

This year's trail marks five years since Gromit Unleashed, and three years since 'Shaun in the City', which raised over £6 million for The Grand Appeal and brought over 2.5 million people to Bristol.

Andrew Worley, Partner at Ashfords' LLP, commented: “Ashfords have had a great time supporting the GU2 trail by sponsoring Feathers and making sure all visitors to Bristol through Temple Meads could not miss that the GU2 event was on helping raise as much money as possible for Bristol Children's Hospital."
