The MMO has sent a reminder today that its current consultation on the draft North East, North West, South East and South West Marine Plans is due to close on 6th April asking anyone who needs more time to respond due to Covid-19, to get in touch with them as soon as possible:
I am writing to remind you that the public consultation on the draft North East, draft North West, draft South East and draft South West Marine Plans, that opened on 14 January 2020, is due to close in two weeks on 6 April 2020. Please feel free to bring the consultation to the attention of your relevant contacts.
We recognise that the ability of some consultees to respond might be affected by the current health emergency. If, as a result, you have any concerns about responding within the consultation period, please let us know at planning@marinemanagement.org.uk. It would be preferable if you could let us know before cop Thursday 26th March so we can then consider how best to help and support you.
The consultation is open from 14 January to 6 April 2020. This is the final stage of statutory public consultation before we submit the North East, North West, South East and South West Marine Plans to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for adoption.
