Our Natural ResourcesTeam is at the leading edge of helping our clients to manage, exploit, protect and regulate their natural resources, whether oil, gas, or minerals. Our experience of working on a wide range of oil, gas and mineral matters and projects, from acquisition, production, construction, transport and operation through to refinancing or sale means that we know where the potential problems lie and are able to guide you through them.
The law surrounding mining and mineral exploration has become increasingly complex and we are well equipped to guide our clients through the legal and operational challenges faced by mining operators in the sector.
We act for developers in relation to projects whether mines and minerals have been excepted from the freehold title or registered under a separate title, and with the redevelopment of land within former coal mines. We also regularity advise clients in relation to minerals trespass, mineral extraction licences and the implications of the Infrastructure Bill for participants in the natural resources sector.
We work with businesses to deal with agreements for the exploration of both conventional oil and gas and shale gas using hydraulic fracturing, commonly referred to as 'fracking'. We can also provide complimentary advice on options relating to exploration, planning matters, leases, easements and construction contracts.
