Marie is a Tax Lawyer within the Corporate Team.
She advises on legislative VAT exemptions and partial exemption VAT recovery. Advising on and preparing VAT registrations including VAT grouping, options to tax and transfers of a going concern for VAT purposes. Advising on IPT matters on an adhoc basis.
- Marie is a qualified Irish Barrister with 6 years of contentious litigation experience. She has worked for HMRC as part of a specialist in-house VAT litigation team. The work was contentious litigation arising from VAT fraud matters, largely Tribunal based.
- As well as the above Marie has worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers ("PwC") as a VAT advisor. She advised a broad remit of clients from the insurance sector, ranging from the Lloyds London market to mid-range health insurers and brokers.
