Louisa is a Solicitor in the Employment Team. Louisa advises on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment law and HR issues.
Louisa advises clients on all stages of the employment tribunal process and deals with claims for both claimant and respondent. These claims include those of unfair dismissal, all types of discrimination and whistle blowing. Louisa also deals with High Court claims arising from the employment relationship, such as breach of contract due to restrictive covenants. In addition she advises on a range of non-contentious matters including drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies and handbooks, advising both employers and employees in relation settlement agreements, advising on the impact of the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (TUPE) and general HR queries.
Prior to joining Ashfords, Louisa worked as a Paralegal assisting with high value large scale litigation cases.
- Various clients: Acting for Claimants and Respondents in bringing and defending claims brought in the Employment Tribunal.
- Various clients: Acting for both employers and high net worth individuals in relation to breach of contract claims in the High Court.
- National organisation: Providing TUPE advice in relation to a large scale restructure of a national organisation.
- Retail client: Reviewing and redrafting employment contracts and handbooks for a retail client.
