A former professional National Hunt jockey, Rory is a Partner and head of our Dispute Resolution Team.

Rory specialises in sport, primarily horse racing and acts for leading racehorse trainers and jockeys as well as major racecourses and the Racecourse Association Limited.

He also acts for clients in sports including Motorsport, Cricket, Boxing, Snooker and Rugby.

Rory has appeared as advocate in over 350 hearings before sports tribunals and disciplinary panels. His focus is primarily in relation to the regulatory aspects of sport, and he is regularly instructed by those being investigated in relation to allegations of match/spot-fixing and doping.

Rory has advised British athletes on Olympic selection for the Beijing, London and Rio Games.
