Matthew Libby



Matthew is a Solicitor in the Corporate Team. He advises on a broad range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions

Matthew’s work involves advising companies, partnerships and private individuals on reorganisations, constitutional amendments and asset and share purchases.

Matthew has in-house experience having completed a secondment with an equity investment crowdfunding platform where he advised on constitutional amendments and corporate structuring. He has a comprehensive understanding of issues faced by businesses and provides client-focused commercial advice.

Before working in the legal sector, Matthew studied Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Bristol. He then worked abroad for an international bank. He has completed an LLB Law degree and also an MSc in Business, Law and Management.

  • Various clients: Assisting the team in a range of comprehensive and varied corporate transactions including corporate refinancing, mergers and acquisitions, as well as advising directors, shareholders and banks on corporate and banking law related issues.
  • Private company: Assisting on a multi-staged shareholder demerger of a property group.
  • Private company: Assisting on the refinancing and restructuring of a high-end interior design company.
