Chloe Wood



Chloe is a Solicitor in the Construction & Infrastructure Team.

Chloe joined Ashfords in 2015 following the completion of a Law degree. She completed her Legal Practice Course alongside her Masters in July 2019.

Chloe has 5 years litigation experience with a significant proportion being high profile, complex High Court litigation. She deals primarily with contentious construction matters. Chloe’s dispute resolution experience includes acting for a range of clients including local authorities, developers, employers, contractors and sub-contractors in pre-action negotiations and all stages of the process under the Pre-Action Protocol for Construction and Engineering Disputes, adjudications, arbitrations and court proceedings.

Relevant experience

  • Exeter City Council: Assisting with pursuing a breach of contract and/or negligence claim in relation to the refurbishment of the Royal Albert Memorial Museum Exeter.
  • Employer: Assisting with acting for an SPV in relation to a large claim against the Contractor in relation to the design and construction of a 1MW anaerobic digestion plant.
  • EPC Contractor: Assisting with acting for a main contractor in relation to an adjudication brought by a sub-contractor in relation to the construction of a large energy from waste plant.
  • Various clients: Assisting the team in a variety of disputes including adjudication, arbitration and court proceedings involving various types of construction and infrastructure contracts.
