Trainee Solicitor


Adam is a Trainee Solicitor in the Restructuring and Insolvency Team.

Adam is in his second seat as a Trainee Solicitor in the Restructuring and Insolvency Team.  Adam assists the team in advising a range of clients, from insolvency practitioners to creditors and directors, on a wide variety of contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters.

Adam's first seat was with the Dispute Resolution Team where he assisted the team in advising on a range of commercial claims in the High Court, Companies Court and County Court including advice on all forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution (e.g. mediation and arbitration). 

Adam has been at Ashfords since graduating from the University of Exeter in 2012, where he studied Business & Management.

Prior to starting as a Trainee Solicitor, Adam worked as a Paralegal in the Trusts and Estates Team in London as well as the Asset Recovery Team in Exeter. He studied the Graduate Diploma in Law at The University of Law (Bloomsbury) and the Legal Practice Course with an MSc in Law, Business and Management at The University of Law (Moorgate) whilst working at Ashfords. Adam has also been seconded to a local authority to assist with their data protection requirements in complying with a number of Subject Access Requests.

Relevant experience

  • Various clients: Assisting in various insolvency matters including bankruptcy proceedings, company liquidations and director breach of trust claims.
  • Various clients: Advising on the civil litigation process including pre-action procedures, case management, disclosure, evidence, interim remedies and trial.
  • Various clients: Advising on the methods of asset recovery available to a creditor either through the various methods of enforcing Judgments or by instigating insolvency proceedings.
  • Advocacy: Attendance at the County Court for Summary Judgment Hearings, Third Party Debt Orders, Charging Orders and Orders to attend Court for Questioning
