Earlier this year, Channel 4 broadcast a documentary called 'The Stranger on the Bridge' about the true and inspirational story of Jonny Benjamin's global search to find the stranger who talked him out of jumping off Waterloo Bridge in 2008.
Ashfords LLP has teamed up with 'mindyourhead', a society at Exeter University promoting mental health awareness on campus, and Exeter City Football Club's charity Football in the Community (FitC), to organise for Jonny Benjamin to give a talk on 'My journey through mental illness' at the Alumni Auditorium at Exeter University on Monday 23 November at 6:30pm.
Proceeds from the event will be shared between Mind, Ashfords' charity of the year, and FitC who has recently been doing work centred around mental health.
Partner Brian Hegarty has kindly offered to chair the evening. Mind and FitC will give a short presentation on the work they do before Jonny takes to the stage to talk and then answer questions from the floor.
We are extremely fortunate that Jonny has agreed to come to Exeter to share his story with us, so if you are interested in attending please click here to book your tickets.
Tickets will cost £6 and all money raised will go to Mind and FitC.
