On Friday, 17 July 2015 Exeter will be staging its first ever Google Startup Weekend at the Innovation Centre, University of Exeter.
Ashfords has been named as one of the Platinum Sponsors of the event joining Crowdcube, The Innovation Centre, The University of Exeter, and Andromeda Capital. Gold Sponsors of the event include; Haines Watts Accountants, Frobishers, TechHub Boston and Zenen Education.
The Startup Weekend will be an opportunity for entrepreneurs to turn their business ideas into reality through collaboration and teamwork. The business pitches will take place on the Friday, and over Saturday and Sunday teams will be focusing on customer development, validating their ideas, practicing Lean Startup techniques and building a minimal viable product.
Mark Lomas, Ashfords Chairman and Head of IP Law, will be on the judging panel for the best creative Startup ideas. Facilitating the event is Wout Laban, a Google Startup representative from the Netherlands.
