For the sixth consecutive year, national law firm Ashfords is proud to announce its headline sponsorship of the renowned Taunton Marathon and Half Marathon, taking place on Sunday 8 April 2018.

The Taunton Marathon and Half Marathon is a prominent event in the Taunton calendar, which will see runners from across the country take on the full 26.2 mile marathon, or the 13.1 mile half marathon to raise money for charity. This year, the Taunton Marathon will be supporting St Margaret's Hospice, who deliver high quality, responsive care to patients and their families facing a life-limiting illness.

Ashfords commented: "The Taunton Marathon and Half Marathon has grown in strength each year since its inception, and we are proud to once again be supporting such a fantastic event in Taunton through our headline sponsorship. The race is always so well attended and we look forward to cheering on the runners raising money for such a worthy cause".

Ashfords will be entering an avid team of runners to take on the challenge including Jason Squire, Tom Storey, Ross Van De Velde, Kerry Eiserbeck, Ben Collins, Emma Rybaruk, Ellen Parker and Sam Preater.

John Lewis, Race Director of the Taunton Marathon and Half Marathon, said: "We’ve enjoyed a successful working relationship with Ashfords for six years now. It’s great to have a well-established local business supporting a well-established local event. The Taunton races have a high profile in the South West athletics calendar and support from Ashfords helps us maintain the high standards we are known for. Our aim of raising money for local charities and Ashfords’ proactive corporate social responsibility programme complement each other to benefit many organisations".

The closing date for entries is Monday 26 March 2018 - for more information please visit the Taunton Marathon and Half Marathon website.
