National Law Firm Ashfords Excels in 2017 Promotions Round

Ashfords is delighted to announced its 2017 round of promotions.

Kerry Morgan-Gould, a specialist in Ashfords' Disputed Wills and Trusts Team, has joined the firm's partnership. Kerry specialises in advising private individuals, charities and trustees in relation to all matters arising out of contentious Wills, Trusts and Estates.

The firm has also promoted three people to Legal Director; Emma Warren (Real Estate), Katie Farmer (Restructuring & Insolvency), and Su Apps (Employment). Five people have been promoted to Senior Associate; Morwenna Pestell (Real Estate), Chris Coughlan (Data Protection), Gemma Essex (Construction), Lara Moore (Planning) and Christopher Freeman (Commercial Litigation).

Ashfords has also promoted 12 people to Associates including; Liam Tolen (Commercial Litigation), William Hammond (Commercial Property), Hannah Batten (Commercial), Giles Lane (IP), Ross Van De Velde (Corporate), Katie Yorke (Corporate), Laura Reeve (Construction), Michelle Perring (Planning), James Chiodini (Projects), Katherine Breckin (Property Litigation) and Jonathan Hickman (Trusts & Estates).

This strong round of promotions comes after the firm recently announced its successful year with turnover rising to £40.6m representing an increase of 12.7% from the prior year.

Ashfords has also been named as one of the UK's best employers following the publication of Legal Week's 2017 Best Employers Report. Ken Bryant, Head of HR at Ashfords, said: "2017 has been an exciting year for the firm and we are very proud to see such a high number of promotions this year. The firm has also retained 77% of our second year Trainee Solicitors and we look forward to welcoming our new Trainees this September".
