Law firm Ashfords LLP has advised leading Japanese street food producer, Rainbo, on the lease of a space in the vibrant new Wharf Kitchen development at Canary Wharf, London.

Rainbo pride themselves on serving delicious and nutritious Japanese street food; they have a pure and undying love for gyoza, good times and good food. The company believe in the importance of food that is fresh, vibrant, delicious and healthy. All Rainbo's food is homemade and they specialise in gyoza dumplings, katsu dishes and Asian small plates, all served from their iconic 194 Ford Pick Up Truck and their permanent site in London.

Wharf Kitchen, London’s newest independent street food market, is opening on Thursday 29 November in Jubilee Place, Canary Wharf, offering an eclectic mix of food and live music to satisfy every palate. The development will comprise seven of the capital’s hottest new eateries, including Rainbo. The new food hall will offer a range of cuisines from around the world, accompanied by buzzing soundtracks to whisk them into a heady foodie escape.

Ashfords provided legal advice to the Rainbo shareholders on the Agreement for Lease, for their work, Lease and the Licensing Arrangement. The Ashfords' team was led by Paul Olliff, Legal Director, Paul advises both national and international clients on a range of commercial real estate matters.

Paul commented: It’s great to have acted on behalf of such a fresh and innovative brand such as Rainbo and their expansion into a prime new location in London, and the heart of Canary Wharf. I’ve no doubt it will be a huge success story."

James Palmer, Director at Rainbo Food, commented: "Our new site in Wharf Kitchen is what we’ve been working towards for the past 3 years and is the result of some serious grafting on the streets of London and at festivals across the UK from our vintage food truck. We’re so excited to finally have achieved our initial goal of a permanent home in Canary Wharf and hope that this site will be the first of many Rainbo stores to open over the coming years!"
