Law firm Ashfords LLP is delighted to again be highly ranked by both Chambers and Partners 2019 and The Legal 500 2018 directories, two major industry research bodies. Published this week, the rankings come following independent research amongst law firms, their clients and key contacts in the industry.

In the Legal 500, Ashfords were recognised for their expertise in 44 practice rankings with top tier rankings in: Corporate and Commercial; Crime: Fraud; Commercial litigation; Employment; Project Finance and PFI; Commercial Property and Shipping.

The firm also increased its ranking in Planning (South West) and Local Government (London). Furthermore, a number of partners were individually recognised for their specific areas of specialism including Jim Morris, Partner (Travel, London), David Pomeroy, Partner (Insolvency and Corporate Recovery, South West), Angus Bauer, Partner (Corporate Tax, South West) and Paul Butterworth, Partner (Social Housing, South West).

The Legal 500 analyses law firms across the world, with a comprehensive research programme revised and updated every year to bring the most up-to-date vision of the global legal market.

The 2019 Chambers Edition groups expertise differently and in this Ashfords are ranked in 23 practice areas with 35 of their lawyers recognised as experts in their areas.

Chambers contains the highest-rated lawyers and law firms assessed by the largest team of client researchers globally. They have been ranking the best lawyers since 1990, and now cover 185 jurisdictions.

These prestigious rankings highlight Ashfords' expert level of client service and emphasise the strength and depth of expertise the firm has. The full Chambers and Legal 500 rankings and accompanying editorial are available online.

Ashfords' CEO, Garry Mackay commented: "This is another great year for the firm. The Guides independently reinforce and verify the strength and depth of expertise that we provide to our clients."
