Law firm Ashfords LLP has been appointed as legal advisors for NHS Property Services.
It is one of nine firms appointed to a panel which will provide expert advice on local property issues. The client organisation has taken over responsibility for some 4,000 properties nationally, following the dissolution of the former Primary Care Trusts last year.
NHS Property Services has established a framework of legal specialists to advise it over next four years in a procurement process divided into four specialists areas.
Its aim is to streamline the number of legal advisors working across the organisation to help ensure quality, consistency, and best taxpayer value through the NHS. The framework is also being made available to the Community Health Partnerships.
Ashfords partner Chris Gregson said: "We are delighted to have been selected for this framework which provides us with the opportunity to continue the firm's long association with NHS property work."
Other firms selected to play a role in the new framework include Foot Anstey.
