Act cautiously for your own protection

  • Do not follow unsolicited web links and do not open unsolicited e-mail messages.
  • Check that email addresses match our domain (previously used scam addresses have included @a5hfords.co.uk  and @ashfordds.co.uk
  • Ashfords do not use Gmail, Hotmail or other web based email accounts.
  • Do not respond to emails requesting you provide banking or other personal information.
  • If in doubt, please check the authenticity with us risk&compliance@ashfords.co.uk.

Criminals often target Law Firms and set up false websites and email addresses and then send emails to members of the public supposedly from the law firm directing them to the false website. This is a scam and is intended to defraud the individual who has been targeted.

We are aware that members of the public have received an email purporting to be from John Birch, a Consultant at Ashfords LLP from the following email address: johnibirch@hotmail.com. 

The email is not being sent from John Birch or this firm and is being sent by a fraudster. Please be aware that neither John Birch or Ashfords have any connection to the johnibirch@hotmail.com email address, and we strongly recommend that you delete the email, do not respond to any request contained within the email and do not click on any attachment or link.

Please be aware that we have no connection to the email address and website and we strongly recommend that you delete any email, do not respond to any request contained within the email and do not visit the false website.
