New Rules for the refund of hearing fees for all cases will come into force on 6 March 2017.
If the court gives notice of the trial date or the start of the trial period before 6 March 2017 the new rules will not apply and a refund will be due in line with the current process.
Hearing fees range from £25 - £335.
Claimants currently get a 100% refund of the hearing fee if they notify the court of settlement in writing, at least seven clear calendar days before the trial date or start of the trial week.
