Recent headlines featuring Pret a Manger have led to heightened public and social media interest in allergen labelling. The recent inquest into the death of Natasha Ednan-Laperouse, who suffered cardiac arrest after eating a baguette containing sesame has been widely reported upon. Increased media interest in the café chain has led to multiple reports of allergic reactions suffered by customers including that of a Pret customer who passed away last December following an allergic reaction to dairy, with both Pret and dairy-free yoghurt supplier COYO exchanging press releases to deflect the blame.
Amazon has announced that it will be opening its first UK fashion pop up store in central London from 23 - 27 October 2018. The pop up store which will be based on Baker Street, will be the first physical store opened in Europe by the tech giant.
