Supporting Charities at Christmas
Instead of sending Christmas cards, we will be supporting charities in our various office locations where our teams will be contributing to and assisting in a range of initiatives including food bank collections and soup kitchens as well as purchasing much needed supplies for the homeless.
Some of the initiatives we have planned:
Trainee Christmas Challenge
As part of the Trainee Challenge the team is offering various holiday themed goodies across the Ashfords offices, from mini desktop Christmas trees to personalised baubles to Hanukkah Gelt coins.
Carol-singing at Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market raising money for Parkinson's UK.
The Taunton office is supporting "Open Door" which supports people without homes and helps them get back into society. Also, food items will be donated from the firms' Christmas Jumper Day. This charity is always looking for volunteers so it is a good opportunity for people to get involved if they wish to, and help make a difference to our local community. The London office is running a coat drive and food bank collection day for the Whitechapel Mission on Friday 16 December. The Plymouth office is putting together a festive food parcel for Plymouth Foodbank. Plymouth Foodbank is part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK. The charity provides housing advice as well as supporting those facing homelessness and runs a local emergency food store. We will be raising money through a dress down day as well as donating food items for the emergency food store. There is an opportunity for members of staff to volunteer with the charity locally if they wish to get involved. Click here to read more about the charity.
Following on from previous years the Bristol office will be running a foodbank collection with people volunteering to help pack up food boxes at the foodbank.
