Bicycle accidents on the increase in Devon

Cyclists are being urged to wear hi-vis clothing after new figures revealed in a Devon County Council report show that there has been a 27 per cent increase in the number of cyclists being seriously injured or killed on Devon roads.

The East and Mid Devon Community Safety Partnership wants cyclists to ensure that they can be seen by other road users both day and night.

Police Inspector Antonia Weeks, said: "It's a small price to pay to save your own or someone else's life."
