Instead of sending Christmas cards, we will be supporting charities in our various office locations where our teams will be contributing to and assisting in a range of initiatives in support of our local communities.
In previous years, this has included food bank collections and soup kitchens as well as purchasing much needed supplies for the homeless.
The Exeter Office are again doing a reverse Advent Calendar – which is where instead of opening up a window in an advent calendar each day, people from the office donate an item of food or toiletries. These donations will be given to the Exeter Foodbank who provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis.
Our people in the Bristol office are again collecting donations for the Bristol Northwest Foodbank, who have helped over 32 250 people in crisis with the provision of emergency food parcels, and a group of Ashfords' volunteers will be providing support at the Foodbank on the 12th December.
The London office were really pleased to be delivering 9 boxes and a suitcase full of food, clothing and toiletries for the Whitechapel Mission, an organisation which aims to help the homeless gain the skills and confidence to make a difference in their lives. We are continuing to collect monetary donations, non-perishable food items, toiletries, linens and clothing items.
The Taunton office are collecting for Taunton Open Door, who support rough sleepers and those who are in temporary accommodation, and have also put together four Christmas hampers from items donated which are being raffled to raise money for The Ashfords Foundation.
Our Plymouth office are collecting donations to purchase much needed supplies for their local Foodbank.
The people based in the Tiverton office are holding collections for items requested in the run up to Christmas for CHAT, the Churches Housing Action Team based in Tiverton.
