Yachting and Leisure Marine
Ashfords' Marine Team includes specialist lawyers who act primarily for clients in the national and international yachting sector. Our team deals with both contentious and non-contentious matters and acts for clients worldwide. Our substantial client base includes marina operators, insurers, yacht designers, yacht repair and refit companies, build yards and international banks lending to the international super yacht industry and the domestic UK market. We also act for private individuals purchasing/selling yachts, corporate bodies involved in major yacht construction contracts and marine organisations such as yacht clubs and unincorporated associations.
We commonly act for companies and individuals in the registration of yachts in the UK and worldwide and can provide a cost effective registration service for UK yachts.
We provide seminars to marine organisations including the British Marine Federation, Royal Yachting Association and the International Institute of Marine Surveyors. Jonathan Hadley-Piggin also lectures on the MCA Master Yachts examination courses for budding superyacht captains.
We hold membership of
