Liz Johnson is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives within the Personal Injury Team in Exeter .   She has specialised throughout her career in Personal Injury claims, with particular expertise relating to work-related accidents.   Acting on behalf of individuals, large commercial organisations and Insurers, she understands her client's concerns and has the experience to deliver a strong result tailored to their individual needs. 

In addition to motor accidents, the cases Liz handles have arisen out of accidents on construction sites, schools, factories as well as more general work environments. She has handled multiple injury cases and industrial disease claims.   Her technical knowledge is sound, and she understands that practical application of that knowledge is key to achieving a timely and commercial result for her clients. 

Relevant experience includes:

• Acting regularly for a local insurance company, representing their insured when faced with a claim, often involving commercial or agricultural vehicles;
• Acting for a local tourist attraction that faced a claim by a customer who was injured whilst using their trampoline.   Liz was successful is repudiating the claim before costly proceedings were issued;
• Representing a local company when one of their drivers was incorrectly accused of causing a collision;
• Assisting a disabled Claimant who had been severely burned when a carer spilt hot liquid into her lap, leaving her badly scarred. Liz arranged specialist scar revision therapy for this client;
• Acting for a petrol station when they were sued by a self employed engineer who had attended to repair a faulty petrol pump, but failed to switch off the pump before starting work. He lost a finger and claimed against   the garage owner, alleging that he failed to provide him with a safe place to work;
• Negotiating settlement of a claim for a pedestrian who had been hit by a motorbike, causing a head injury that affected her hearing. Liz arranged for hearing aids to be fitted and paid for privately by the Defendants as part of the claim; and
• Defending a football club against a claim by a child who was injured whilst playing on goal posts on their premises.   This claim was taken to trial and the Claimant lost, despite his young age.
