Planning - recent experience
- providing planning advice, and negotiating section 106 agreement and harbour works licence for Olympic Sailing Centre, Osprey Quay, Weymouth;
- advising national housebuilders in connection with the negotiation and modification of planning obligations;
- representing the Helford Village Society in its judicial review of the grant of planning permission for a fishing jetty;
- acting for Derby City Council in seeking an injunction to prevent the demolition of a listed cinema;
- acting as advocate at a public inquiry for a 13 storey residential tower in Bristol;
- advising St Austell Town Centre on a section 106 agreement for town centre redevelopment and CPO;
- advising Devon County Council on a section 106 agreement to include highways, education and social services requirements in respect of Cranbrook, East of Exeter new settlement;
- advising a consortium of developers and landowners in respect of the Newquay growth area;
- advising local authorities on major developments in Barnstaple, Bideford, Torridge;
- assisting a Cornish planning authority to develop a roof tax;
- advising land owners in opposing town green applications in Bristol. Devizes, Saltash and Penryn;
- seeking lawful use certificates in respect of a variety of uses including a retail site used in breach of conditions, a storage site, a general industrial site, separate dwellings and the stationing of a mobile home; and
- undertaking the advocacy in respect of several enforcement appeals for a district council.
