Simon Curran

Simon is a Solicitor in the Real Estate Team.

He has experience in assisting the team with a wide range of clients, including major house builders, local authorities, housing associations, developers, NHS Trusts and private land owners.

Amongst other matters, Simon assists with section 106 agreements, certificates of lawfulness, planning appeals, objections and enforcement proceedings. He also deals with highway infrastructure agreements including section 38 and 278 agreements.

Relevant Experience

  • Assisting with a section 106 agreement for two major house builders for a development of up to 300 new homes in Cornwall.
  • Assisting with a section 106 agreement for South Gloucestershire Council for a 2,500 dwelling development at the North Yate New Neighbourhood.
  • Acting for Thames Water in a variety of matters including planning advice for development schemes, asset protection agreements for the Victoria Station Upgrade, sewer diversion and adoption agreements and provision of advice on trade effluent consents and charging.
  • Acting for Interested Parties in the Atlantic Array windfarm development - a nationally significant infrastructure project ('NSIP') - during the development consent order application under the Planning Act 2008 by RWE Npower Renewables.
