David R Liebeck
David is a Consultant in the Commercial Litigation Team.
He specialises in insolvency based litigation including all types of recovery work in cases arising out of individual bankruptcies and corporate failures. He is also experienced in all types of commercial litigation including arbitration, adjudication and in respect of claims being pursued in the High Court, both Queen's Bench and Chancery Divisions.
David is the first port of call for many Insolvency Practitioners on questions arising out of personal insolvency including recovery of assets and advice on the bankruptcy process including annulment of Bankruptcy Orders; in relation to corporate insolvency, director's duties and wrongdoing including recovery of assets on grounds of transactions at undervalue (gifts), preferences and misfeasance; on commercial litigation banking law including letters of credit, aviation law and infringement of copyright.
- Acting for a foreign bank in relation to standby letters of credit.
- Advising a foreign airline on claims arising out of a breach of a leasing agreement of an aircraft; the winding up of a Belize company with property in the UK.
- Advising on a Joint Venture Agreement relating to a property development in Switzerland.
- Advising on the recovery of fees for a UK graphic design company in relation to a property development in Russia.
