Andrew is a Partner in the Commercial Property Team specialising in commercial property work with particular expertise in SIPP/SSAS pension transactions and leases of retail premises. Andrew manages Ashfords specialist SIPP/SSAS pension transaction team and is also a panel Solicitor for Subway, the American sandwich franchise, responsible for new and existing commercial lease matters and the sale and purchase of existing Subway stores in the South of England.  To date he has dealt with leases for over 350 Subway locations and over 250 store transfers.

Recent experience includes:

• Purchase of an Industrial unit by a SIPP scheme with lease back to the investors occupying limited company;
• Sale of a Subway store in Brighton including the assignment of an underlease;
• Purchase of an existing Subway store in Cheltenham including the assignment of an underlease;
• Completion of a lease of a unit at a major shopping centre in Stratford upon Avon, which included an agreement for lease conditional upon planning permission and construction and contractors warranties;
• Sale of a nightclub unit and music studio set out over five floors of a Listed Georgian Building which included the grant of lease of the premises;
• Sale of a warehouse unit to a SIPP with leaseback to an occupying limited companyexchange of an agreement for lease for a new café unit at a shopping centre in Aldershot to include an external seating area lease;
• Grant of a concession unit within a major shopping centre in Essex;
• Grant of a concession unit at a major UK airport which included a turnover rent;
• Purchase of an Industrial unit by a SSAS scheme which included a deed of variation of the investors limited companies lease of the premises;
• Completion of a lease at a new shopping centre unit in Kent which included the exchange of an agreement for lease conditional upon construction and contractors warranties;
• Assignment of a retail unit in Stoke on Trent which included a Deed of Variation of the terms of the assigned lease; and
• Grant of a concession unit within a local shopping centre in Yeovil.
