Louise Workman joined the firm in September 2010 as a Partner in the Corporate Team. Louise trained at Norton Rose and qualified into their Corporate finance department. She joined BLP in 2000 and became a Partner there in 2001. She has a wealth of experience in acting for major corporate clients in national and international transactions. She specialises in mergers, acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, reorganisations and has advised many companies on their IPOs.
Examples of transactions include:
- Acting for Vinci plc on its acquisition of Taylor Woodrow Construction;
- Acting for Luminar plc on its £250m group restructuring and reorganisation and sale of a division;
- Advising Stanley Fink (founder of Man Group) on his £30m investment in the St Pancras station hotel and apartment development;
- Acting for Linda Bennett on her sale of LK Bennett;
- Advising the founders of Fat Face on their sale of Fat Face;
- Acting for Genpact on their bid for the UBS Indian outsourcing captive;
- Advising numerous companies (most of which were overseas) on their AiM IPOs; and
- Acting for various corporate finance houses in respect of AiM IPOs and secondary placings.
