Stephen is a partner in the Trusts and Estates Disputes Team.

Stephen is regularly appointed as a Deputy under the Court of Protection.

Recent work undertaken includes:

• defending a beneficiary from an action by charity challenging the validity of a codicil
• acting for a spouse in a claim made under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 resulting in settlement of the claim with a significant revision of the Will Trust
• dealing with a number of applications to the Court of Protection in relation to the making of Statutory Wills for clients lacking mental capacity
• making an application to the High Court concerning the principle of ademption
