Tony is a Partner in the Taunton office specialising in Planning (public inquiries, development plan work and planning and enforcement appeals) and commercial property (development work, landlord and tenant and business transactions).  He has various local authorities as clients, as well as private and commercial clients.

Tony joined Ashfords in 2003. After qualification, Tony worked for local authorities in London and the West Country, before moving back into private practice.  He was then a Partner in another West Country practice based in Bath and Bridgwater specialising in Commercial Property and Planning.

Recent projects handled include:

• advocacy at 3 planning appeals involving residential development, wind farm/renewable energy and gypsy site;
• sale of development land to national house builder including advising on planning and development issues;
• application to High Court for judicial review of planning decision;
• planning and enforcement appeals in both Devon and Somerset;
• appeal regarding removal of condition on Tesco's store in Mansfield; and
• appeal regarding justification for education contributions in Nottingham.
