Mark is a member of Constructing Excellence South West, Devon and Exeter Club and the Adjudication Society. Mark has also given numerous seminars to the construction industry (Chartered Institute of Builders, Royal Institute of British Architects, Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, Construction Industry Training Board) and educational institutions and was a Mediator in the Exeter County Court Scheme.
Work handled includes:
- acting for developer on construction contracts, appointment documents and warranties for sports centre refurbishment and renovation in Bristol;
- advising and assisting developer with construction contract documentation relating to a new South West rugby stadium;
- advising a restaurant franchise holder in potential claim against the architect;
- advising a college in relation to construction documentation for its campus development including advising on the building contract, collateral warranties and performance bond;

advising an art and design college in relation to construction documentation for an extension to the college;

acting for a main contractor in Technology and Construction Court proceedings concerning a contract for the refurbishment and fit out of a London hotel. Dispute regarding impact of partial possession on practical completion and regarding Performance Bond. Appeal to Court of Appeal, settled before hearing. Reported case; and
- acting for a main contractor on a claim for loss and expense arising out of a refurbishment contract for a public swimming pool. Claim dealt with by adjudication and loss and expense awarded.
