Linnea is a Solicitor in our Employment Team, based in our Exeter office. Linnea read Law and completed her Legal Practice Course at Exeter University before joining the firm as a Trainee Solicitor in 2003. She became a member of the Employment Team when she qualified as a Solicitor in 2005.
Clients include leisure providers, owner managed businesses, private education sector clients, and professional service providers such as accountants, architects and surveyors.
Work handled includes:
- contracts and terms and conditions of employment
- employing foreign workers - work permits and HSMP applications
- handbooks, policies and procedures
- maternity issues and "family friendly" policies
- minimum wage
- working time
- restructures and redundancy
- Trade Union recognition and industrial disputes
- grievance, disciplinary and capability procedures
- severance packages
- post-termination restrictions
- all employment aspects of business and company sales including TUPE and the negotiations of warranties and indemnities
- litigation and advocacy, including: defending unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal and breach of contract, discrimination, equal pay and whistle blowing claims
- tax and employee incentives
