Mark spent many years working in the City of London joining Ashfords in 2007 from the projects department of the international law firm Norton Rose. Mark has extensive projects experience both in the UK and overseas dealing with both commercial and finance documentation acting on behalf of governments, sponsors, project companies and financiers.

Recent experience includes:
- Torbay Council - currently advising Torbay Council in relation to its Direct Services and Waste Joint Venture Strategic Services Partnership;
- Fire and Rescue Services PFI - currently advising a sponsor in relation to two UK Fire and Rescue Services PFI projects;
- Larnaca and Paphos International Airports, Republic of Cyprus - advised Hermes Airports Limited in relation to US$800 million concession to develop, operate and manage Larnaca and Paphos International Airports in the Republic of Cyprus (financial close July 2006). This was the first PPP project in the republic of Cyprus and won European Transport deal of the year in 2007;
- Elefsina - Korinthos - Patras Motorway Project, Greece - advised the mandated lead arrangers, on the provision of 1.7 billion of funding for the largest of the Greek roads projects. Signed July 2007;
- Norman Manley International Airport, Jamaica - advised the European Investment Bank and the Caribbean Development Bank on the US $100 million project financing of Norman Manley International Airport;
- Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Nigeria - advised International Finance Corporation and the Federal Government of Nigeria in relation to the privatisation of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in the Federal Republic of Nigeria;
- Maliakos-Kleidi Highway, Greece - advised the successful Hochtief/Bilfinger Berger led consortium on the 1.2 billion project financing of this highway;
- Sangster International Airport, Jamaica - advised the Government of Jamaica in relation to the US$200 million concession to develop, operate and manage Sangster International Airport, Montego Bay, Jamaica (financial close April 2003);
- London Luton Airport - advised London Luton Operations Limited in relation to its 30 year concession to develop, manage and operate London Luton Airport;
- Grundartangi Aluminium Smelter, Iceland - advised Norduralhf. (an Icelandic company) on the US$185 million refinancing of its aluminium smelting operation in Grundartangi, Iceland and in relation to a $430 million expansion project;
- Project Red Dragon, UK - advised the lender on the £100 million syndicated funding of Project Red Dragon involving the construction of a fixed wing super-hanger for the MoD;
- NHS LIFT Projects, UK - advised the lender on Barnsley LIFT Project - Birmingham and Solihull LIFT and Camden and Islington LIFT; and
- Redcar and Cleveland Schools PFI - advised the successful consortium on the £50 million grouped schools PFI.
