Stephen has extensive experience in Commercial disputes across a wide range of industries including claims of up to £10m and is a specialist in resolution of Construction disputes. He is a partner in the firm's Construction Department. He is described by Clients in Legal 500 as "the ultimate professional". Stephen has mediated some 36 disputes across a broad range of subject areas as at November 2007 with a settlement rate running at over 80% on the day.

Stephen is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a Construction Act Adjudicator. His construction work includes Arbitrations, Mediations and Adjudications on behalf of both Contractors and Employers. Stephen's other commercial dispute work includes contract disputes and professional negligence. He also has experience of surveyors/valuers negligence cases having acted on a portfolio of such cases. His clients include companies of all sizes, National Health Trusts, Insurance Companies and PLCs.

Stephen has advised on mediated disputes including construction, relating to the supply of industrial equipment for the manufacture of components for the Automobile Industry, property disputes including in relation to restrictive covenants, tripartite disputes, Solicitors negligence, Architects negligence, flooding cases, negligent valuer cases and cases in the financial services industry.

He has successfully acted on a number of Mediations in London and the South West including a Professional Negligence Action against Consulting Engineers settled for £1.27m at Mediation.
