Brian joined Ashfords in 1995, becoming a Partner in 1998. He moved to Exeter in 2007, having spent 12 years building a Commercial Property Team at our Plymouth office, leaving in place the largest team of commercial property lawyers west of Exeter.
Relevent experience includes:
- Advising the South West of England Regional Development Agency:
- In relation to the regeneration of Hayle Harbour
- On the regeneration of the former Seaton Barracks Plymouth (now the Plymouth International Medical and Technology Park) and dealing with estate structure and disposals
- On the development framework for the regeneration of Royal William Yard Plymouth, the development agreement with Urban Splash Group and the sale of the freehold reversion to Plymouth City Council;
- Advising the London Development Agency on the disposal of the former Royal Arsenal at Woolwich;
- Advising a national waste disposal company on the regeneration and disposal of former landfill sites;
- Advising a regional water company on the regeneration and disposal of redundant operational land;
- Advising a leading South West developer on the conditional acquisition of a gateway development site in Exeter; and
- Advising on the site assembly for a major new retail/office development in Truro.
