Chris is a Partner in the Commercial Property Team specialising in property work for public funded bodies.  Chris joined the firm in 1981, becoming a Partner in 1989.  He has over ten years practical experience as a FE College Governor. Chris has  particular expertise in dealing with the acquisition and disposal of sites for development purposes.

Recent projects he has undertaken include:

• acting for the Devon Primary Care Trust in connection with the disposal of a major historic  former hospital  site in Exeter for redevelopment including lease back and overage provisions;
• advising on the purchase of sites for 3 new hospitals in Devon;
• advising Swindon College and Swindon Borough Council in connection with the disposal of their adjoining City Centre sites to a developer  to realise the marriage value including overage and partial lease back provisions;
• advising Coleg Gwent in connection with the sale of part of its headquarters campus site to a County Council for redevelopment as Council offices; and
• advising Devon County Council in connection with the disposal of part of a site to a housing association for redevelopment including the redevelopment of the County Council's retained properties to provide enhanced accommodation.
