Elizabeth is a Partner in the Projects / PFI Team. She works primarily for public bodies on a range of projects including long-term services, works, infrastructure and joint venture arrangements including the procurement of strategic partners for major schemes.  She joined the firm in 2001 as an employed barrister after working for the Environment Agency.  Elizabeth has since qualified as a solicitor and was made partner in May 2006. At the Bar she developed her experience in public law and administration and at Ashfords her expertise has grown particularly in procurement matters, Projects/PFI, State aid and associated competition law. Elizabeth has extensive experience in relation to the application of the European procurement rules.

Recent experience includes:

• advising a college in respect of the procurement of planned maintenance contracts;
  
• advising a Regional Development Agency in respect of a number of projects which involved a university; and
  
• advising on procurement issues on award of major construction contract by further education college.
