David is a Consultant and a member of the firm's Dispute Resolution department. As well as accepting appointments to act as mediator in a wide range of commercial and private disputes, David advises clients in the specialist areas of  defamation and privacy law and reputation management.

David's clients range across the private and public sectors and include several well known sporting personalities.  He has successfully concluded claims against tabloid newspapers and claims and "take-down" applications resulting from libellous postings on the internet.   In relation to his work as a mediator, he has been an accredited mediator with ADR Group since 1997.

Recent experience as a mediator includes successfully resolving claims for professional negligence arising out of "toxic" property lending.  In his reputation management work he has brought and successfully concluded libel proceedings in the High Court on behalf of a professional racing driver arising from an internet posting.  He has provided advice to a holiday operator concerning complaints over comparative advertising by a competitor and has made successful "take-down" applications on behalf of a local authority concerning offensive and misleading internet postings.

David was singled out in Legal 500 for bringing "a calm and capable hand to a wide range of commercial disputes" . He is acknowledged for his commercial awareness and for always looking for a cost-effective resolution for clients.
