Angus is a Partner in the Corporate and Commercial Team specialising in corporate tax and employee share schemes. His client portfolio consists of public sector, private sector, listed companies, private companies and selling shareholders.
Angus joined Ashfords in 1998 and was made partner in 2004. Prior to joining Ashfords, Angus worked in one of the Corporate Tax Departments at BDO Stoy Hayward where he passed the Chartered Institute of Taxation exams. Angus then went on to law school and trained to become a Solicitor at a highly regarded City firm Biddle & Co, where he specialised in Tax on qualification.
Significant projects he has recently undertaken have included:
- Schlumberger Oilfield UK plc – various company acquisitions
- Viridor (South West Water) – various company acquisitions
- South West of England Regional Development Agency – VAT and stamp duty land tax advice
- Poltair Homes plc – general tax advice
