Angus is a Partner in the Corporate and Commercial Team in the Exeter office specialising in VAT, corporate tax, stamp duty and stamp duty land tax and employee share schemes. Angus also advises on group re-organisations and provides strong tax support to the large and expanding Corporate Finance Department. His client portfolio consists of public sector, private sector, listed companies, private companies and selling shareholders.

Angus joined Ashfords in 1998 and was made partner in 2004. Prior to joining Ashfords, Angus worked in one of the Corporate Tax Departments at BDO Stoy Hayward where he passed the Chartered Institute of Taxation exams. Angus then went on to law school (passing the LPC with distinction) and trained and worked as a Solicitor at highly regarded City firm Biddle & Co (now within Pinsent Masons). At Biddle & Co. Angus gained invaluable experience in mergers and acquisitions and Stock Exchange listings. Angus was involved in the first ever full Stock Exchange listing of a BES company.
