Peter is a Partner and head of Ashfords' Equity Release Team. He specialises in advising clients on Equity Release Schemes (ERS) and has a national presence and reputation in this field.

Ashfords Equity Release Department is solely dedicated to the legal processing of equity release lifetime mortgages and reversion schemes, as well as associated work that may be necessary such as Transfers of Equity and Lease extensions.

Peter has been asked by both Retirement Plus, Bridgewater Reversions and IERAA (at their launch) to speak to advisers on the legal procedures and implications of ERS. He is one of the co-founders of the Equity Release Solicitors Alliance.

Peter also advises private clients on a number of other legal matters including Wills and Estate Planning. He has extensive experience in dealing with Powers of Attorney and Office of the Public Guardian matters.

Peter is currently the chairman of Age Concern Tiverton Cullompton and District. He is also a member of Action on Elder Abuse, Solicitors for the Elderly and the Alzheimers Society.
