SWWIC Charity Construction Quiz raises £1000 for School

Introduction

South West Women in Construction (SWWIC), a group providing an opportunity for women in the construction sector to meet, network and share experiences, raised £1,000 for Dame Hannah Rogers School, Ivybridge.

The cheque was presented to the school by Anna-Liisa Walden, a solicitor in Ashfords' Construction department, at a breakfast briefing followed by a tour of the school's new facilities on Friday 3 March.

The money which was raised at a charity construction quiz night, will "Help Their New Wing Take Off". Dame Hannah Rogers has two centuries of experience in caring for young people and provides a wide range of facilities to include physio, speech and occupational therapy, nursing and 24hr care, active social life, life skills, advice and intensive support, hydrotherapy and counselling. Anna-Liisa, Chair of SWWIC, is pleased to that the organisation has been able to support such a worthwhile local cause.
