Expanding law firm moves to larger waterside offices

Introduction

Rapidly-expanding law firm Ashfords has just moved into more spacious waterside premises at Bull Wharf in the heart of Bristol after relocating from offices at Temple Quay.

The move comes less than two years after Ashfords first opened an office in Bristol with a team of just three following the de-merger of Bevan Ashford.

In that time, a new member has been appointed to the legal team every month, bringing it to its current strength of 20.

The 5,000sq ft premises at Bull Wharf, Redcliff Street, will house a full-service corporate commercial team headed by Managing Partner Garry Mackay.

Ashfords' Bristol office currently offers legal services in corporate law, commercial law, ICT and intellectual property rights, planning and environment, construction and employment law.

The signing of the lease for the new offices is just the first phase in Ashfords investment and commitment to the Bristol market.

Managing Partner Garry Mackay said: "The move to Bull Wharf marks a new phase in what has been a highly successful two years.

"It is not only vital to our expansion plans, but puts us in the heart of Bristol's vibrant business district, enabling us to closely monitor daily changes in the world of commerce."

The firm's chief executive Ian Daniells added: "A strong Bristol presence is key to our plans as we not only aim to be the best law firm in the South West region, but also continue to develop our work and reputation on the national and international stages - a consequence of which will be employment and new business to Bristol and the South West.

"We have already proved that Ashfords is among the elite of Bristol law firms, providing excellent quality, experience and expertise. We have a growing client base and are key advisors for expanding businesses in the region.

"There are some exciting opportunities ahead for us that I will be helping to coordinate across the firm, coupled with a hands-on approach to business development and client satisfaction."
