Three New Recruits for Expanding Law Firm

Introduction

The Bristol office of rapidly expanding law firm Ashfords has appointed three new members to its legal team. It brings the number of new recruits to 23 since the office opened in November, 2004.

Associate Joanna Clarke joins the firm's commercial property team, solicitor Stephen Young, the corporate recovery and insolvency team, and solicitor Paul Kendall the corporate and commercial team.

"The Bristol team has grown from just three to 23 in just over two years and underlines our commitment to the city," said Ashfords managing partner . "A strong Bristol presence is key to our plans,"

"We have ambitious plans for further expansion as we increase the range of services we can offer to serve our growing portfolio of clients. We not only aim to be the best law firm in the South West, but also develop our work and reputation on the national and international stages."

Ashfords, recently relocated from its office in Temple Quay, Bristol, to premises at Bull Wharf, Redcliff Street, which houses a full-service corporate commercial team.

Joanna Clarke moves to Ashfords from Bevan Brittan and has nine years experience advising private and public sector clients on property development matters, including house builders, supermarkets, and private finance initiatives.   

Stephen Young moves from Clarke Willmott's insolvency department and has had extensive experience acting for insolvency practitioners in both corporate and individual insolvency matters. He has particular expertise in transactional avoidance and asset recovery cases, including recovering assets located offshore.

Paul Kendall, a former group legal manager and advisor for Stanley Security Solutions Europe Ltd, has practical experience in all areas of commercial law, including intellectual property, IT, litigation and company acquisitions.
