Review of the Feed in Tariff

Friday 10th June 2011

As generally anticipated, the Government has announced that the Feed in Tariff ("FIT") will be reduced for Solar PV along the lines announced for consultation purposes on 18 March 2011. The new rates will apply from 1 August 2011.

This decision is subject to judicial review and we await the outcome of the hearing with interest.

The following tables summarise the situation as of 1 August 2011 following the consultation. In the case of Solar PV, the FIT rates per kWh for 50kW and below have not changed as a result of the consultation. Both the Solar PV and the Farm Scale Anaerobic Digestion rates are in accordance with the consultation.
