Wednesday 30th May 2012
Law firm Ashfords LLP has welcomed back Partner Stuart Mathews, to rejoin the firm in its Corporate and Commercial Team.
Stuart joins the firm from the Met Office, having been an in-house company commercial lawyer there since 2008. Prior to that, he worked at Ashfords for four years, as an Associate in the Corporate and Commercial Team.
Stuart specialises in the sale and purchase of businesses and companies, MBOs, MBIs, joint ventures and shareholders agreements, investment arrangements, and corporate governance matters. He also advises on compliance with EU and UK competition laws and has expertise in commercial contracts. Stuart gained an MBA with Distinction from Exeter University in 2011.
He said: "I am very pleased to have been rehired by Ashfords, where I enjoyed a successful career for four years. It is a particularly exciting time to be rejoining the firm, shortly after it has expanded by merging with London firm Rochman Landau. I am looking forward to working with the firm's highly experienced Corporate and Commercial Team."
Simon Rous, Chairman and Head of Corporate at Ashfords, said: "We are delighted to welcome Stuart back to Ashfords. Like all in our Corporate and Commercial Team, he has a broad range of expertise and experience, and his return is excellent news for clients and for the firm."
