Ashfords set for the "Oscars of the equity release world"

Ashfords has been shortlisted for a top honour in the national Equity Release Awards 2010.
The full service law firm, which has offices in Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth, Taunton and Tiverton, has been named as one of three firms in line for the Best Conveyancer Award, Sponsored by Your Mortgage.
Tiverton based Peter Barton, Partner and head of the firm's Equity Release Team, said: "We are delighted to have been shortlisted for this award.
"These awards are the Oscars of the equity release world and it is a great achievement for us to be shortlisted for this award for the second year running.

Equity release is a growing market and offers many people their only realistic chance of a comfortable retirement.
Mortgage Solutions launched the Equity Release Awards in 2005 and recognise those providers and financial advisers who offer the highest levels of product, service and advice in the industry.
The 2010 awards will take place on Friday November 12 at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London. The winners are selected on the results of a survey of financial professionals’ attitudes and preferences in the equity release market, and will be revealed during a lunchtime ceremony.
