Ashfords assists on eco friendly housing scheme
Monday 12th October 2009Building work has started on a new low carbon housing scheme on Portland in Dorset. Sustainable developer ZeroC, in partnership with the South West Regional Development Agency (RDA) is building 77 low carbon homes on RDA-owned land at Osprey Quay.
Leading law firm Ashfords LLP advised the RDA on the development agreement with ZeroC in relation to the 1.95 hectare site (almost five acres). The project is the latest step in the RDA’s £40 million regeneration of the former Royal Navy Air Station which has been selected as the venue for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games sailing events.
Andrew MacMillan-Scott, Ashfords’ Partner who closed the deal, said: “We are delighted to have brought this property deal to a successful conclusion.
