Ashfords in the fast lane
Wednesday 1st December 2010 Ashfords' Partner and Sports specialist Rory Mac Neice has represented leading GP3 team MW Arden, a joint venture between Red Bull Racing's Team Principal Christian Horner and RBR's Australian F1 driver Mark Webber, in their negotiations to sign Simon Trummer as part of their three-car GP3 line up for 2011.
The former Swiss Formula Renault Vice Champion and 2010 GP3 front runner is looking to build in 2011 on the experience he gained in his first season in GP3, starting with a competitive post season test with MW Arden in Jerez, where he was quickest overall.
"We are delighted to have been instructed by MW Arden to assist with the signing of Simon and am sure that both he and the team will achieve the success that they deserve this year.
"We act for individuals and teams at all levels of sport and instructions such as this reinforce our position on the front row of the grid for motorsport related legal advice."
MW Arden Team Manager, Julian Rouse, said: "Everyone at MW Arden is delighted to have Simon on our GP3 program. He is a young very talented driver who is very dedicated and works very well with everyone in the team. We were very impressed with his professionalism and his speed at all 6 of the post season test days and we are all confident he can compete right at the front of the GP3 Championship in 2011 with us.”
Simon Trummer added: “I am very happy that I could sign this contract. It’s a privilege for me to drive for MW Arden next season. At the GP3 testing in Estoril and Jerez the cooperation between me and the team already functioned very well. The team‘s support is very professional and it’s attention on every detail is very good. I am very motivated to give my best on and off the circuits and hope to do a great job for the team.”
